Art & Activism: World AIDS Day

FREE ADMISSION! │ On December 1, 1989, in conjunction with the UN’s second annual World AIDS Day observation, Visual AIDS organized its first Day Without Art, an international day of action and mourning in response to the AIDS crisis. In recognition of World AIDS Day 2008, officially observed on December 1, AIDS Vancouver, The Centre, Cineworks, The Dance Centre, Out on Screen, Pacific Cinematheque, Vancouver New Music and VIVO partner for the second straight year to present Art and Activism: World AIDS Day, a variety of art events that highlight the ongoing need for awareness, action and education around the subject of AIDS.
