MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT  │ An annual $3 Pacific Cinémathèque membership is required for any person attending our screenings. Memberships are only sold at the Box Office (cash only). 

Pacific Cinémathèque is recognized as an exempt non-profit film society under the B.C. Motion Picture Act, and as such is able to screen films that have not been reviewed by the B.C. Film Classification Office. Under this act, all persons attending our screenings must be members of the Pacific Cinémathèque Pacifique Society and be 18 years of age or older.

Some programs and events will be exempt from the membership requirement, meaning patrons under 18 may be able to attend. This will be noted on the individual event descriptions on this website and in the Pacific Cinémathèque Program Guide. Films being screened as part of a private rental of our venue do not require Pacific Cinémathèque membership.
