Happy New Year! 2012 marks not just another year here at the Cinematheque but our 40th Anniversary! Plans are under way to celebrate our birthday (officially August 2!).

Wow - time flies! On November 18th, we hosted our 3rd Annual Fundraiser SCENE on November 18th to a great crowd, raising over $17,000!

Ah, summer is here and the theatre has been really busy with audiences enjoying the Kurosawa films, Metropolis, Red Shoes and 8 1/2.

So far, June has been a great month at the Cinematheque! We kicked off with our Film Lover's Campaign and Membership Drive and the response has been fantastic - many thanks to our donors to date.

Mark your calendars! We are gearing up for our 2nd Annual Open House on Saturday, June 12th.

Enhancements continue at the Cinematheque! In about four weeks time, our projection booth will welcome a new addition – a Sony JH3 HDCAM Compact Player.

I am pleased to announce yet another upgrade at Pacific Cinematheque! We have finally taken a big leap into the 21st century and upgraded our Film Reference Library catalogue software.

We have been asked by a few people if the Cinematheque will continue operations throughout the Olympics and the answer is YES!

We’re back! After a much needed break, the Cinematheque staff are in the office and raring to go. Our Best of the Decade Series has started and there are so many great films to see.

The holiday season is here and we are still going strong with lots of programming taking us right through to the end of 2009.
