Ah, summer is here and the theatre has been really busy with audiences enjoying the Kurosawa films, Metropolis, Red Shoes and 8 1/2. For those of you who have visited the theatre this past month, you may have noticed a couple of new additions. One, we have some new outdoor patio furniture to catch a bit of sun before you head into the theatre and two, the concession now offers a selection of ice cream products. The Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia Bar has become a fast favourite with the staff. Dark chocolate and vanilla ice cream with juicy cherry pieces - so tasty! The Film Noir series is just around the corner and those anxious to purchase the 2010 film noir shirt should buy theirs soon as a limited supply hit shelves yesterday. Shirts are $15 each and available by calling the office at 604.688.8202 or at the box office during screenings. The shirts are receiving rave reviews and would be the perfect thing to wear all series long. Other developments are in the works including a new box office system which will make it possible to purchase tickets using Visa, MasterCard and American Express. So no more running to the cash machine to pay for your tickets - we have entered 2010! And on the reverse of each ticket, a 10% off coupon for The Edge Social Grille & Lounge on Granville Street.
