RYAN LARKIN'S STREET MUSIQUE PRESENTED WITH LIVE MUSIC! ► Cinema Sunday’s series of great animation just wouldn’t be complete if we left out the best, brightest, and most beautiful classics from the vaults of the National Film Board of Canada, legendary for its ground-breaking and award-winning works in the field. Some of these great favourites — Sheldon Cohen’s The Sweater, John Weldon’s Log Driver’s Waltz, Norman McLaren’s Neighbours — you’ll probably know well, and can enjoy all over again with your kids. Others — Ryan Larkin’s Street Musique (presented here with live music), Christopher Hinton’s Blackfly, Brad Caslor’s Get a Job — might be surprises and revelations, inspiring you and your young artists and artists-to-be. This program showcases some of the most enjoyable and most famed works of Canada’s top animators, past and present.

Ryan Larkin's stunning visual improvisation Street Musique, the last of the great animator's works, will be presented with live music from the Ruffled Feathers. From cities, forests, and deserts, the Ruffled Feathers converge in a cacophony of creations about home, the heart, and the seeds of a revolution as a chamber-pop group that lights up Vancouver's music scene. www.theruffledfeathers.com
