Pacific Cinémathèque is closed for the holidays.
The holiday season is a great time to reflect on the year that has passed and extend our thanks to you, our valued patrons, for making us your preferred cultural destination.
2008 saw new seats, a new website, a successful fundraiser, a facelift to the theatre’s interior and of course, 12 months of the best in curated film programming — including Samurai!, Film Noir, Nikkatsu Action Cinema, the European Union Film Festival, The Leo Awards Film Festival, Jean Luc Godard's La Chinoise and Vivre sa vie, and special guests Crispin Glover and Boris Quercia.
Our theatre is closed for the holidays from December 23 to January 1, but screenings resume in 2009 with the one of the most important film restorations in years, Kent Mackenzie's The Exiles on January 2.
Wishing you a happy holiday season and a New Year of health, happiness and prosperity. See you in 2009!
