SIGHTS & SOUNDS │ Our award-winning digital filmmaking production program is available to elementary and secondary school students, and interested community groups. DOCUMENTING ENGAGEMENT │ In January 2004, the Documenting Engagement Institute brought together nine Canadian artists, from a variety of disciplines, working in the field of community-engaged arts. A suite of short documentaries about current community arts practices was produced at the end of this period. These videos have been screened at festivals and are available to order on VHS and DVD. │ documentingengagement.cinematheque.bc.ca
FaceBC │ A collaborative project with the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Portrait Gallery of Canada in which a diverse group of youths drawn from communities across the province create digital video portraits of themselves, their families, friends and larger communities. Videos and related legacy materials created will be showcased and celebrated around the province, in Ottawa and other centres across Canada, and will complement promotional portrayals of British Columbia during the lead up to the 2010 Olympics.
