Budding young filmmakers get the big screen, red carpet treatment at the Pacific Cinematheque's 9th annual Summer Visions Gala and Awards!

This screening and awards ceremonies on September 23 and 24 celebrates the work of the province's future filmmaking stars. Participants aged 14 to 19 from all over the Lower Mainland worked in production teams during two-week sessions to write, shoot and edit their own short videos as part of the Summer Visions Film Institute for Youth, resulting in an impressive collection of inspiring, entertaining and provocative work. This year's films featured a variety of experimentation with genre, from moody film noir pieces to fresh twists on the conventional zombie flick.
