SUPPORT ESSENTIAL CINEMA ► At Pacific Cinematheque we pride ourselves on our diverse film programming of over 500 screenings a year; however, did you know that Pacific Cinematheque is more than a movie theatre?

We are a not-for-profit organization that provides educational opportunities for individuals and school groups to learn more about film.  Each year we work hard to promote film culture in Vancouver to people of all ages.

The support of our donors helps us share our passion for film through a number of facets:

• West Coast Film Archives, a collection of over 1,000 Canadian films of cultural significance

• Film Study Guides and Professional Development for Educators

• Media and Film Education Workshops for Youth run by our award-winning Education Department

• Film Reference Library, a collection of several thousand books and periodicals related to film, available to the general public

• Youth Filmmaking Camps for youths aged 8 to 19. Last summer over 130 students were able to attend the program with the aid of bursaries.
